Data, AI & Applied Technology Leadership

Mission → trusted information → decision rights → responsible technology → adoption → measurable learning.

Mission-driven systems leadership combining long-standing governance, cross-organizational implementation, government/allied partnership, and recent founder-led human-directed AI work.

13 / 5 / 3

methods / Major Commands / services

85 / 57

DOE-linked validation tasks / deficiencies

First-ever / 3

built-from-zero capability programs

CASE 01

Built capabilities that did not previously exist: the first-ever 80-hour predeployment program for 200 Airmen, a seven-agency disaster-response interoperability program, and a U.S.–Republic of Korea Air Force EOD partnership that included the first-ever ROKAF/USAF EOD exercise, nine engagements, and 16 joint training events.

CASE 02

Human-directed AI governance and responsible measurement

Designed and use a multi-model AI operating architecture with external state, decision/activity logs, routing, handoffs, fallback logic, source controls, and explicit human approval boundaries. A wrong-source regression became permanent source/state/recovery controls. Responsible-AI and bias-aware measurement designs examine incentives, hidden need, consent, crisis, data, measurement, and research-validity risks before scale.

CASE 03

Standardization across five Major Commands and three services

Developed and tested 13 unexploded-ordnance mitigation methods and synchronized tactics, techniques, and procedures across five Major Commands and three military services. The operating analogue is federated: common standards and outcomes with distributed execution and expertise.

CASE 04

Government and allied partnership

Worked directly with the U.S. Department of Energy on two nuclear technical orders, 85 proficiency tasks, 57 deficiencies, and Broken Arrow procedure validation. In Korea, host-nation work was recognized by a ROKAF Group Chief and praised by the Seventh Air Force Commander; later work included the first-ever ROKAF/USAF EOD exercise, nine engagements, and 16 joint training events.

CASE 05

Governance through validation and internal controls

Led Wing Inspection Team and formal QA/self-assessment across three management-control tools and 17 functional-area checklists. Separate equipment/readiness work resolved identified shortfalls, executed a $313K budget, and reduced internal-control discrepancies 37%.

Supporting evidence

  • ATAK: led wing server development and AFRL-linked implementation across three wing agencies.
  • Separate $510K innovation initiative and $270K / three-project portfolio.
  • Sustainment-contract oversight included correction of a critical X-ray maintenance shortfall.
  • People capability: 18-Airman Superintendent scope; >45%, 40%, and 33% separate readiness/training outcomes; AI/digital curriculum designed.
  • Conservation: institutional mapping, easement-holder discovery, stewardship governance, field diligence.
  • Executive decision support: Eleventh Air Force Commander briefing and later live-testing/risk-recovery decision support.

How I would approach the first year

  1. Map decisions, outcomes, and accountable domain owners.
  2. Establish responsible-AI acceptable-use guidance and a practical risk-review path.
  3. Build transparent use-case intake and value prioritization with the CIO organization.
  4. Build data and AI literacy around real work outputs and source judgment.
  5. Learn the actual owners, users, architecture, risks, and maturity of NatureChat and conservation-intelligence workstreams.
  6. Establish adoption/outcome measures and a documented learning loop.

Scope & boundaries

My direct AI work is founder-led and recent; the deeper operating precedent is high-consequence governance, controlled information, technology implementation, validation, multinational coordination, adoption, team leadership, and executive decision support. I distinguish information/source governance from enterprise data engineering or master-data management.
